In the Hawaiian language, Piki translates beautifully to "peach" 

While peaches are not native to Hawai'i for generations, the sweet, juicy peach has existed in Hawaii as a rare, high-altitude treasure, found only on the cool, misty mauka (mountain) slopes of places like Kula on Maui or Kamuela on the Big Island. Because classic peach trees require a winter chill to bloom, they became a secret of the highlands, where hikers and paniolo (cowboys) would occasionally stumble upon wild trees growing in the remote mountain air. Finding a fruiting peach tree shrouded in the high-elevation mountain mist felt like discovering a hidden gem. A beautiful, sun-warmed contrast to the tropical warmth of the coastlines below.
